Our new candidate center is designed to help keep you up-to-date with the campaigns going on across the country. Click on your state of interest and you’ll find a list of candidates running for each federal office, a brief overview of the state, and specific information for campaigns of interest as it becomes available. In the near future, the candidate center will include polls that will be updated as new ones are released, and links to FEC data.

In April, Josh Segall announced his candidacy for this seat, which sets up a rematch of their close race in 2008. Despite being outspent 2 to 1 last cycle, Segall received a respectable 46% of the vote, outperforming President Obama, who received just 43%.

Northern border, Huntsville

Democrats were able to hold on to this seat after Democrat Bud Cramer decided to retire. This seat was seen as one of the most vulnerable Democratic seats, but Democrart Parker Griffith scored a victory by 9,000 votes.at the end of the term, presenting the Republicans with a possible pickup opportunity. The district has never voted a Republican to Congress since its creation.
